Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to a new week that the Lord has made. You’ll rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus name.

Do you pray in the Holy Ghost?

In our book club community, we just completed Mel Tari’s book, Like A Mighty Wind. One of the mysteries the author unraveled in this book was praying in tongues. He admits that he totally disliked it, and even spoke against it because he thought people who spoke in tongues were speaking gibberish. Plus, it made no sense at all. This was his viewpoint until the Holy Ghost opened his understanding about it. Although this book was written in the early 1960s, it is interesting to find that the argument of whether to pray in the Holy Ghost still exists today.

In today’s post, we’ll highlight two Biblical references that encourage us to pray in the Spirit.

  • Romans 8:26 (KJV) “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

When we pray in our understanding, we are limited. We only pray about what we know about. What about the things that we need to pray about, but we don’t know of? This is the place of the Holy Spirit- He helps us and teaches us what to pray.

  • Jude 1:20 (KJV) “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,”

Praying in the Holy Ghost is a faith-building mechanism. If you are interested in growing your faith, praying in tongues is key.

I pray that the Holy Spirit opens you up to engage this mystery if you are yet to experience it. And if you have already, may you grow in your knowledge of the Spirit.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
