Hello Amazing Reader,

Happy new week. I pray you experience the balance of God’s blessings in this outgoing month of April, in Jesus name.

Have you experienced the good hand of God upon your life?

Nehemiah, our reference today did and he was bold to declare it. In Nehemiah 1, Nehemiah had been told about the situation in Jerusalem. The walls were broken, the gates burned and the people were in captivity, (Nehemiah 1:3). This report made him sad. His portfolio as the king’s cupbearer forbade him to be sad in the presence of the king, he could be killed for it.

He prayed and asked God for mercy before the king, (Nehemiah 1:11) knowing the implication of being sad before the king. While performing his duty, the king noticed his sad disposition and instead of getting punished for it, he asked him why he was sad, Nehemiah 2:2. Nehemiah told him the reason and went on to make humanly impossible requests – letters to the governors beyond the river, access to the king’s forest for timber, Nehemiah 2:7-9.

Mind you, Nehemiah was a slave. He had no business asking the king for such a favour, but he had prayed and he knew God’s hand was upon him. So he expected to be favoured.

Nehemiah 2:18, “Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.”

Are you a child of God? You can also have His good hand upon your life. Ask in prayer and expect to experience the manifestations of His good hand on your life today, this week, this month, and all through your lifetime.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
