Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to a new week which the Lord has made; you will rejoice and be glad all through the week, in Jesus name. I hope you had a good and restful weekend?

In our book club community, we’re committing to praying for our fathers all through June. This includes our biological fathers, spiritual fathers, husbands, uncles, brothers, and sons. We’re praying for them from Psalm 112:1, that they will fear the Lord and find great delight in His commands, all the days of their lives.

Can you imagine if all our communities were filled with men described in this verse? We would have more children who are taught in the way of the Lord (Deut 6:7), more peaceful homes, a blessed generation…and so many other blessings.

When the enemy succeeds in taking a man off the path of righteousness, he may have access to an entire generation if there’s no divine intervention.

This is not by any means saying females are not important in God’s plan, or a female cannot raise godly children. No, please. We see an example of Timothy, raised by his mother and grandmother in 2 Timothy 1:5. It still happens today, but God has a plan for men too. He wants them teaching their children in the way of the Lord. He still wants to boast about men like He did concerning Abraham in Genesis 18:19, “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

Instead of joining those who say all sorts of negative things about men, can we commit to praying for them instead? Psalm 112:1-3 is a good place to begin.

Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
    who find great delight in his commands.
Their children will be mighty in the land;
    the generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches are in their houses,
    and their righteousness endures forever.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
