Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to a beautiful, new week that the Lord has made. You will rejoice and be glad all through the week, in Jesus name.

For today’s meditation, we’re brooding over a portion of Apostle Paul’s letter to the Church in Philippi.

In the earlier verses of Philippians 3, Paul wrote to the church about his initial confidence in the flesh, and why he had every reason to be boastful considering his biological roots as a Hebrew and Israelite. However, he had realized that none of these was profitable to him with regards his walk with God.

Having experienced that life, he had now come to understand what was most profitable to him as a believer. Philippians 3:10 (AMP) states,

And this, so that I may know Him [experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being continually conformed [inwardly into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did]

I have often heard that Paul made this declaration long after he had become saved and was doing mighty things for God’s Kingdom. Yet, knowing God remained crucial to him.

Perhaps you are already saved, is knowing God still important to you? There’s a tendency to become complacent in our walk with God and resort to relating with God as a routine, instead of a need.

You cannot know God enough. The more you seek Him, the more you will find Him. While going to church and fellowshipping with believers is essential, this aspect of knowing God mostly happens in the secret place.

Do you still have your alone time with God? Not to seek His intervention over a situation, but just basking in His presence—worshipping, praising, praying, or studying the word.

May we never become complacent in our walk with God. Rather may knowing Him become our perpetual heart cry, in Jesus name. Amen.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
