Hello Amazing Reader,

Happy New Year! Thank God for His faithfulness and mercies to us in 2024. Thank you for also being here for the first post of 2025. God bless you!

What’s the scripture guiding your life this year?

In the 1nebody book club community, we trust God to help us with doing, this year.

Doing what? You may be wondering. We will be doing the word by the help of the Holy Spirit. Our foundational scripture is James 1:22-25

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

James 1:22-25 (NKJV)

We are privileged to be alive in this time where the word of God is abundantly available. Although some people and places have better access than others, the word of God is not scarce in our generation like it was in the time of Samuel; 1 Sam 3:1. We receive the word of God through multiple platforms, including our churches, small groups, family devotions, schools and the internet. But, how much of these do we apply?

Those requests we have written down this year may have their answers in a word that we’re yet to act upon. I believe it is in Kenneth Hagin’s book, “Following God’s Plan for Your Life,” where he states that God will not give you the next instruction until you have obeyed the previous.

Can we commit by the help of the Holy Spirit to doing the word of God this year? It will involve a lot of sacrifices on your part, but if God matters to you most, these will be nothing compared to the desire to please God.

I encourage you to think through this message and identify specific areas you need to begin with. For my dear brother or sister reading this, your first action if you are yet to be saved is to accept Jesus into your life as your Lord and Saviour. You’ve probably heard this previously but you haven’t taken any action on it. What a great day to accept Jesus into your heart. Today is your day of salvation. Please say this prayer:

Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned, please forgive me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus name. Amen

Congratulations, you have made Jesus the Lord of your life. If you said this prayer and would like additional information/ guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.

Once again, Happy New Year. May the peace of God be with you throughout this year and always as you do His Word, Amen!

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
