Hello Amazing Reader,
Happy New Week!
This new week, I pray the Lord satisfies you early, and fills your life with abundance of good things, in Jesus name.
A few days ago, I watched snippets of the Global Youth Ministers Conference, hosted by Conquerors Global Assembly, and I was reminded of a major life lesson.
One of the questions that was asked the convener of the program, Bishop David Abioye was on ministry finances. “How do you get money for the assignment God has given to you?” I think I may have paraphrased it, but the question was on getting finances for ministry.
In Bishop Abioye’s response, he said he lives by a philosophy- If I don’t have it now, it’s because I don’t need it. When I need it, God will provide.
Isn’t that so liberating? Many times, we consume ourselves with unnecessary pressure and anxiety. We wonder why God isn’t providing what we “want,” forgetting that He knows what’s best for us. In fact, He wants good things for us better than we want them for ourselves. As a believer, never forget that He’s your God and also your Father. What good earthly father doesn’t want the best for his children. Not to talk of the Almighty God and Father.
God is very aware of our needs versus our wants. Our needs, we cannot do without; but our wants, we can really do without. 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) states,
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Is God your Father? He can only father you when you’ve accepted Him into your heart as your Lord and Saviour. Please say this prayer with faith:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Congratulations, heaven rejoices over you! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
Instead of letting anxiety get the better of you, I encourage you to cast your cares upon God. This new week, and beyond, let Him carry you. Trust Him to provide all you need, when you need it.
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
