Hello amazing readers,

It is a beautiful morning today and we bless the name of the Lord for it. I hope you had a good weekend, and here is praying that the week is even in many ways better, Amen!

The word for today is from Matthew 14:22 NIV, “Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.” I encourage you to the read the whole chapter for better context. This right before the infamous storm, the popular event where Peter walked on water to meet with Jesus. In the verse above, I will like to highlight Jesus made the disciples get into the boat. In the EASY bible version, it says, Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Get in the boat and sail across to the other side of the lake.’ Amplified version used the words ‘directed the disciples.’

We see here that the tone is sort of assertive. Jesus was not asking, he demanded them to get on the boat. Do you think he did not know that there would be a storm right after he made them leave? Of course he knew but he also knew that he was not going to abandon them, he saw them, and he was with them. Sometimes God needs us to go through the storm to grow our faith. He wants to refine us, build us up, and strengthen us (Eph 6:12).

Whereever or whatever God is demanding you to go or do, know that if he is directing you to do it, he is with you no matter the outcome. It is all for his glory. Or perhaps, you are already in it but it is not going well for you. It is normal to be confused and wonder if God really did send you, but please remember that he is there with you (Joshua 1:9; Isaiah 41:10). He led you down that path and he knows what the journey would be like, so, just keep your trust in him and know that he will see you to the end (John 16:33).

God bless,

Dasola
