Hello Amazing Reader,
Welcome to August, once again. I believe God with you that it’ll be a month of new beginnings, in every area of your life, in Jesus name.
I came across a story that I’d like to share with you. Please follow along.
A man was on board a flight, and was sat in the first-class wing. As part of the complimentary services, he was offered alcoholic wine by the flight attendant, but he politely refused the offer.
This happened several times as the flight attendant found his refusal strange. Eventually, the man asked the attendant why they hadn’t offered the same alcoholic beverage to the pilot. In defense, the attendant said the pilot was on duty and was not allowed to drink while flying.
The man latched on the same response and said, as a believer in Jesus Christ, he is always on duty.
Did you learn anything from this story? Personally, I found it profound and very illustrative.
Matthew 5:16 (AMP) states, “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
As a believer in Jesus Christ, you are also His representative. You have a duty to always represent Him in the best way possible. Not putting on an act, but letting the Holy Spirit shine through you such that your words, deeds, actions, give glory to God and bring others to the saving knowledge of Jesus.
I pray that from today, and all the days of our lives, we will be sensitive of our assignment as Jesus’ representatives and make Him proud, Amen!
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
