Thank God the start of another wonderful week. A delightful one it’ll be for you in Jesus name. A few weeks ago, we took lessons on the need to wait on God for the fulfillment of His word. Today’s lesson is along the same line.

A common phenomenon with every human irrespective of age, race, gender; is the possession of a desire. Every living creature desires one thing or another. Whether or not such desires are positive or negative is entirely another issue. Having established that, it is also important to state that desires are dynamic as they change from to time. Once a particular desire is granted, there is a desire for something else. At the beginning of every year for instance, many people set goals which they wish to see accomplished. However, not all of the goals might be attained at the close of the year. Some person may decide to re-roll out these goals in the subsequent year while another may give up completely.

Psalm 145: 15-16 (New International Version) says ” The eyes of all look to you and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

One of the key phrases here is, ‘every living thing’. The birds, plants, reptiles, fishes, etc are living things and God satisfies them. The same God is your God and He is able to satisfy you. Consider these:

  • Are you a living thing?
  • Do you have a desire?
  • Is that desire available in God’s hand?

If all these are “yes”, it will certainly come to pass. Did you notice ‘proper time’ in verse 15? There is a proper time for that desire to be granted. Keep your hope alive. Romans 8:32 also corroborates this. The New International Version says, ” He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things.”

He gave you Jesus, His only son. That cost him a lot, but He gave him anyway. What is that desire compared to the gift of His son? Almost nothing right? Instead of crying and being so sorrowful, take these words back to God. Remind Him that He gave you Jesus and so He is able to graciously give you all other things that you desire.
Stay rejoicing, it will happen!
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
