In the words of Bishop David Oyedepo, ‘the dominion of light over darkness is instant and unquestionable.’

The reason that challenge in your life has persisted is because you are yet to gain sufficient light. One of the major sources of light is the word of God. While going to church is great and listening to sermons is wonderful; but in this fast-paced world, we realize that except we make conscious efforts to get personal light from our study of God’s word; we will only settle for ‘hand-me-down’ knowledge. This isn’t wrong in itself, but it becomes a problem when we no longer take time to personally study the Word of God.

The Psalmist in Psalm 27:1 says, ‘The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Now, it takes a level of word-consumption to be able to speak in this manner. King David had become so rooted in the word of God that he knew nothing could get him afraid anymore.

There’s a level of confidence you exude when you have received light concerning a particular situation.  It gets you so intoxicated that you stand on the word until it comes to fruition in your life.

Even when you see manifestations that don’t look like your desired testimony, you can boldly take God’s word back to Him and trust Him to make good His word based on the light you received.

In this new month, which is also the beginning of the second half of 2018; be intentional about your personal walk with God and make deliberate efforts to get light!

God’s blessings always,
Dammy
