Hello Dear Reader,

I hope  you had a peaceful weekend? It’s another beautiful week and I am here to remind someone to stay strong.

Let’s ponder on Haggai chapter 2 . The Lord used Prophet Haggai in a big way in the life and journey of the Israelites. This was right after the Israelites returned from exile (i.e what was left of them) and the Lord called on them to work on the house of God.

Briefly, in Chapter 1, Haggai called the Israelites out on their misplaced priorities; they had focused all their strengths on personal things and wondered why nothing changed and only got worse. He opened their eyes to why this was and urged them to make rebuilding the house of God their priority. They heeded his message and began to work on the house of the Lord. They decided to shift their focus from the ruins of their nation and ignored the doubts in their hearts about the years and resources it would take to rebuild their nation. As soon as they put all that aside and began to work, prophecies and promises of God started to flow in.

Haggai 2:2-4 NIV  “Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people. Ask them, ‘Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing? But now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ declares the Lord. ‘Be strong, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,’ declares the Lord, ‘and work. For I am with you,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

The part Haggai played in this project makes this book one of my best in the Bible. Even though they had started working, God knew it is one thing to start and another thing to complete it. He knew exactly what they were feeling and how easily they could be persuaded into giving up; given how vulnerable they were. Imagine trying to rebuild something from nothing, how hopeless their situation must have looked. God chose to use His servant, Haggai, as a source of strength to the Israelites, through prophecies and words of encouragement all through that period, reassuring them of God’s love, reminding them to put away their doubts, fears and only trust in him.

Does all this sound familiar? I don’t know exactly what you are going through or what in your life fits this picture. The truth is we have heard these messages time and time again, but when this world called life starts with us, we tend to forget what’s important and who we are. I believe that is why God initiated this platform, 1nebody;  to serve as a voice to always remind us of His presence. So I’m here to tell someone today, God has got you, give no attention to the oppositions and negativities around you, be strong!

God is telling you today that it is only in a little while, your life and home will once again be filled with glory that will even be far greater than that past life/memory you are clinging to. He will move heaven and earth just for you, He will shake nations just so you can have what you desire; for your ashes, beauty. He only needs you to be strong. Don’t relent, don’t give up, keep praying, keep believing, keep working; through the pain, through the hustle, through the gossips, through the lies. Through it all, God will find you because He never left you, He’s always with you. Just take a moment and pause, take a closer look, He is right there, He is telling you today, ‘it’s only a little while longer, be strong’.

I hope you have a fruitful week and that your strength throughout this week will speak to another person who needs to be reminded to stay strong.

Stay blessed,

Dasola
