Hello beautiful people, I’m glad you made it into 2021 and it’s my pleasure to write you through this esteemed blog.

Today we’ll be talking about visions and timings considering the year is young and the vision for the year is still fresh. Just before we jump right into it, vision as described in this piece refers to what comes from God and not necessarily what we concoct or formulate in our minds or what we have on our vision boards.

Our reference text here is quite instructive. It tells us that God, the one who gives visions has set an appointed time for its manifestation. In fact, looking at the full verse in Habakkuk 2 v 3 it says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry”. (NKJV).

More often than not, visions from God as regards His purpose for lives look very wonderful as in the case of Abraham the patriarch (Genesis 12:1-3). It makes us want to escape the present into the future that has been prepared for us. Remember that God’s plans for us are always good right? (Jeremiah 29:11) and that is why the future becomes very enticing.

However, we need to develop the virtue of patience if we must ever actualize the glorious future that awaits us. Reason being that the vision is for an appointed time that we both do not know about. Only God is privy to that information. It’s only at the appointed time that the vision would speak (manifest).

Remember Moses who had an idea of God’s plan for his life and didn’t want to wait it out? He ended up setting things back 40 years. Though it tarries, we have to wait. In Hebrews 6 v 12 the Bible tells us we should in addition add the virtues of Faith and Diligence to our patience. Only then would we ever get to that glorious destiny God has prepared for every one of us.

Lastly, it’s important to remember that God has made everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). There is no need to get yourself worked up on how the vision would be actualized.

Another thing is certain, “…Though it tarries…it will surely come, it will not tarry”.

It would not take forever, relax.

Love Always,

Joshua
