“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” Proverbs 23:18 (KJV)

Expectations are powerful, not just to you, but to God. Without it, God cannot come through for you, and this won’t be a big deal because you weren’t expectant anyway.

I had always known this, but I had an experience which caused this to be etched in my mind forever.

I attended a church service in September 2020. Honestly, that day I was in church because it was another Sunday; nothing more. Thankfully, God had mercy on me. As the minister mounted the pulpit, he said, “There is someone here without an expectation. But God is saying you have an opportunity to express your expectation before the Word comes.”

Alas, I was one of such persons. I quickly asked God to forgive me as I  mentioned my expectation to Him. Did God meet my need? In the most supernatural way possible.

Yes, August comes to a close in a few days and then comes the last four months of the year. Don’t let that move you. God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly for you, irrespective of time. But, you must keep your expectations alive.

God’s Blessings Always
