Hello Amazing One,

It’s a beautiful new week that the Lord has made. Joy and rejoicing is your testimony all through the week in Jesus name.

Today, we’re gleaning from 1Sam 2:3. It states, “Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.” (KJV)

This was part of Hannah’s thanksgiving prayer after God had blessed her with her long desired prayer for the fruit of the womb.

The latter part of the verse says God is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. That is, when we pray, it’s not only the lines of our prayers God hears; He also ‘hears’ our motives. Why are we asking Him for that new job, promotion, fruit of the womb, healing, etc. Is it for our selfish gain or that His name be glorified?

Hannah probably made this statement realizing that she had been asking for a child with the wrong motive the whole time. But, as soon as there was a change in her motive, she had her prayers answered.

Remember, God is a prayer-answering God, not a prayer-storing God. Perhaps, there are lingering requests for which you are believing for His intervention; it’s worth examining your motives to be sure they align with His will, and they ultimately will bring glory to His name.

Once again, have yourself the most beautiful week yet.

God’s blessings always
