Hello Amazing One,
It’s great to have you here. Trust you are recharged and set to soar this new week. May the lifting hand of God cause you to attain strange heights this week and beyond in Jesus name.
In most parts of the world, February is regarded as the month of love because of the celebration of Valentine’s Day. Shall we seize this opportunity to explore the subject of love for the believer?
As children of God, we have no doubt that God loves us. But, do we love Him in return? How can we express this?
John 14:23-24 (KJV) states, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.”
Read how the Message translation captures it.
“Because a loveless world,” said Jesus, “is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him—we’ll move right into the neighborhood! Not loving me means not keeping my words. The message you are hearing isn’t mine. It’s the message of the Father who sent me.”
From these verses, we see that obedience is the proof that we love God. We cannot claim to love God, but disregard His words. His words to us are documented in the Bible. This means we cannot know what to obey if we are not first conversant with His words.
Another avenue through which God reveals instructions to us is through genuine teaching priests. Obedience to instructions from teaching priests is equal to obedience to God, and it attracts the blessings of obedience.
Beginning today, may we receive fresh grace to obey God, in Jesus name 😇😇
