Hello Amazing One,
It’s a new day and a new week. Praying that you walk in the reality of all God has for you today and through the new week in Jesus name.
Last week, I joined Dunsin Oyekan’s Upper Room and as you can imagine, it was an awesome experience. One of the highlights for me was when he mentioned that he doesn’t write his songs. Surprising, right? Instead, he spends quality time with God (praying and worshipping) which sometimes goes on for long hours. God, in turn responds to him by ensuring he doesn’t leave empty and He gives him a sound to bless the world. He narrated some encounters he’s had and the songs that were born from these.
If you have listened to any of Minister Dunsin’s songs, this ‘open secret’ will make more meaning to you. In fact, in his words, he says he sings revelations, not songs, which is based off His intimacy with God.
Little wonder, Matthew 6:33 tells states, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
I don’t know if this challenges you, but I’m challenged to get more intimate with God. Not for what I want or need, but because I sincerely want to pour my love on Him. What’s your decision- to be intimate or otherwise?
