Dear Reader,

I am glad to welcome you back to this week’s Meditation Monday, may the word of God find expression in your life, in Jesus name, Amen.

I have a few questions for you today that I would love you to take some time to meditate on and pray about:

  • What vision are you running with?
  • Are you fulfilling your heavenly purpose?
  • Which side are you on? On the side of God’s calling for your life or simply after what is “trending” and “cool?”

Practically everything that goes on in the world—wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him. The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out—but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity.

1 john 2:16-17 msg

Some weeks ago, a Pastor said, while he was speaking about career progression, “each stage of your career has a lease, God has brought you to every stage for a purpose and you don’t have forever.” I believe that is true for each stage of our lives. So, it is imperative that you seek out God’s intention for every season that you find yourself, so that you don’t miss out on the assignment and blessing in that season. The bible says there is a time for everything under the sun and he makes things happen at the right time (Ecc 3: 1, 11). So, you have to work with God’s time and not your own.

I learnt something very powerful from a friend recently. She spoke about how she labelled the season she is currently in, the season “God is rebuilding her walls with precious stones.” I thought, how intentional. The way I see it is, by giving a label to her season, my friend is intentional and staying sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit for her in that season. You need to know what season you are in so that you don’t harvest when you should be planting. Give a label to where you are now and be more intentional about discovering God’s intentions for you in that season, don’t waste anymore time complaining and wishing every moment away. God has given you the power to choose life (Deut 30:19), though the devil might have planned it to frustrate it but choose to repurpose it, embrace your season, and take advantage of every second.

God bless,

Dasola
