Hello Amazing One,

Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian family. As you celebrate, only shouts of joy and victory will be heard in your habitation in Jesus name.

We had a wonderful time at our book club meeting over the weekend. One of the many blessings of this platform is that we get to learn from and sharpen one another (Proverbs 27:17).

So much was discussed at the meeting, but one of the lessons that stood out for me was the need to consciously place value on eternal things.  While it’s easy to get consumed by our jobs, businesses, education, and other activities, these things do not count for us in eternity. Surprised? “What then counts?” You may wonder.

First, the salvation of your soul. God wants you saved because that is your only ticket to heaven (1 Timothy 2:4). Next is seeking the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). This consists telling others about Jesus, serving God, loving others, giving to the needy…The list is endless really and engaging in these activities heartily will make eternity meaningful.

Like our community member put it, no matter how long we live on earth, it is nothing compared to how long we will spend in eternity. So, why don’t we invest in activities that will count for us in eternity? God help us as we re-order our priorities beginning today, in Jesus name. Amen.

Have a most victorious week.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
