Good evening,

Welcome back to another week of #MeditationMonday. I pray that the Lord will speak to each of us today via His word, in Jesus name, Amen!

Numbers 14:9 NIVOnly do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” This is Caleb’s words to the Israelites after they had been discouraged and frightened by the reports of the other 10 men Moses sent to explore the promised land.

In the chapter before, Numbers 13:33 NIV, the other men said to Moses, Aaron, and the Israelites “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our eyes, and we looked the same to them.” These statements are 2 extremes. Caleb saw the Israelites through the eyes of the Lord; warriors and conquerors who are defined by the One who sent them and is with them. Unfortunately, like most believers, and I speak to myself in this regard, the other 10 men saw themselves through their our own lens. We focus on our weaknesses and shortcomings but completely ignore the One who commanded us in the first place. We place our declarations and conclusions on what we see with our natural eyes and are blinded to Who is within us, Who surround us, Who leads us, and Who commanded us.

David knew this truth too when he said in 1 Samuel 17:45 NIV “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”

What about you, do you know this truth? I challenge you today, whatever it is that God has placed in your heart to do or step into this week, month, or year, do not be afraid. Do not see yourself as a grasshopper, you are God’s elect, His warrior! Go ahead in the name of the Lord Almighty who has commanded you. If He is for and with you, who or what can be against you?!

My prayer for you:

What are you, mighty mountain? Before {{the person reading this}} you will become level ground. Then {{the person reading this}} will bring the capstone. To shouts of “God bless it! God bless it!

Zechariah 4:7 NIV

God bless,
