Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to a blessed new week. I pray that you’ll rejoice and be glad all the days of this week, and beyond in Jesus name.

Our meditation scripture for this week is Leviticus 6:12-13 (KJV),

And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings. The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

Leviticus 6:12-13 (kjv)

If we back up to the previous verses, we’ll see God giving Moses these instructions for Aaron and his sons. As a family of priests, Aaron and his sons received these commands from God through Moses. Recall that this was in the Old Testament where no one could access God directly. The people of God could only relate with God through their priests and high priests.

Although this was an Old Testament instruction, it is still valid and relevant for us as New Testament believers. God instructs us that the fires on our altars must be kept burning—not the altars in our churches but in our personal lives. We cannot afford to burn wood on our altars only when we are in a physical church; that fire will go out in no time.

If our lives will remain ever burning for the Lord, we must be committed to putting wood on it continuously. This will include intentional and personal times of word study, praise and worship, prayer, fasting, exposing ourselves to spiritual resources (books, messages, etc), fellowship with others, and sharing our faith with others.

Maybe your desire is to have a closer relationship with God in 2025. It won’t happen by chance. It requires an intentional commitment on your part. Perhaps you can only commit to a few minutes for a start, that’s okay. As you keep at it, you’ll realize you are getting better at it. If you miss some days, that’s okay too. Don’t beat yourself up, you can pick up from where you left off.

As priests over our own lives, God is reminding us of our responsibility to keep our altars continuously burning. If your altar currently burns dimly, like a candle, don’t be discouraged. With consistency and the help of the Holy Spirit, it can grow into a blazing fire, much like a burning bush.

My prayer for you is that by the help of the Holy Spirit, you will attain a new level of spiritual authority as you commit to an intentional walk with God this year, in Jesus name.

If you are yet to receive Jesus into your life as your Lord and personal saviour, the first step is for you to do so today. Please say this prayer:

Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned, please forgive me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus name. Amen

Congratulations, you have made Jesus the Lord of your life. If you said this prayer and would like additional information/ guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.

Have a blessed and spiritually fruitful week.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
