In Luke 18:1-8, the parable is told of a persistent widow and an unjust judge. The Bible records that the rights of this widow were being violated, she reported to the unjust judge once, twice maybe thrice but he didn’t take any action because he really did not care about serving justice.

This widow was unperturbed by the judge’s lackadaisical attitude, she kept pressing for justice. When the judge had gotten enough of her persistent pressing, he had to give in and grant her request. Note that, he didn’t do what was right because he feared God, it was solely because of the widow’s persistence.

In verses 6-8  of the same chapter, it says: “Then the Master said, Do you hear what that judge, corrupt as he is, is saying? So what makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them? I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?” (The Message Bible)

God is ready, willing and able to stick up for His own but how persistent are you? Keep praying, sowing, believing, keep up with those steps of faith. Remember that He is the most just judge there is and will ever be. He abides faithful and can never deny himself. Be encouraged and have yourself a very blessed week.
