Hello Amazing One,

Welcome to a wonderful new week. It would be one filled with testimonies in Jesus name.

Are you familiar with the hymn, Dare to be a Daniel? It speaks to the ability to stay positively different in our world. Today, we have a situation where people are afraid to be different. Instead, we want to go on with the flow, to avoid being labelled.

Apart from Daniel, there are Biblical examples of people who chose to maintain their stand with Christ. Noah is one of such examples. Genesis 6:9-13 states, “These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God… The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Do you notice the extremes? While Noah was just and perfect, his generation was filled with corruption and violence. Yet, Noah took a stand with God. He dared to be different. As a result, his entire lineage was rescued from destruction when God sent flood waters upon the earth.

You’re not alone if you find yourself flying solo within your cycle and even your generation. Many Biblical examples went through the same situation and came out victorious.

Daring to be different is not the easiest thing to do, but the Holy Spirit is available to empower your decisions.  Also, be reminded that the word of God remains the ultimate standard; not any culture or tradition.

Praying you God’s help as you go on this week.
