Hello Strength,

Yes, you, that is your inheritance and identity in Christ. Happy new month everyone. Welcome to the last month of 2022. It is a new horizon!

The song on review this week is a perfect song to end the year and start the new one.

The Christian journey is a huge responsibility. And sometimes we need that push, that reminder, that will recharge our faith and re-energise us for our walk with God. This song is that truth that will challenge every fear that you might be feeling right now. The song will fire you up, and reassure you of God’s mightiness.

The first line of the song goes “Let him turn it in your favour.” That is simply powerful. Let God do what only he can do. Don’t let fear get in the way of your blessings in this last month of 2022. Yes, it can be much easier said than done. But we have to persist because the devil does not give up, so, we won’t either.

So, the sooner you start reminding yourself that God is YOUR future and not fear, the sooner you will begin to see that become your reality. This part of the song reminds me of a powerful line from a Mount Zion movie. “I might not know what the future holds but I know who holds my future and I am holding on to him.” This is our truth and reality. The sooner we realise and remember that the only thing we can control is how tightly and fervently we are holding on to God, the easier I believe it will be for us to navigate this thing called life.

Remember that the devil wants you to constantly live in fear of the unknown, of the future that he has no knowledge of. But resist the devil today and step into a new horizon with God at the centre, the connector of everything that concerns you. Everything starts and ends with God. The Bible says to step boldly into the throne of grace so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. When you know who you are and whose you are, you have no reason to be afraid of the future.

The best part of this song for me is the fact that you can insert whatever word describes what you are believing God for in 2023. Mine goes like this;

Hello courage

Hello hubby

Hello favour

It is a new horizon

Goodbye shame

Goodbye fear

Goodbye timidity

It is a new horizon!

Fear is not YOUR future! It is not MY future either. Be blessed as you listen.
