Dear Reader,

Compliment of the Season! I hope you are having a wonderful December so far. As we gear up to celebrate the birth of Jesus, I pray that celebration, joy, and dancing will never seize from your life, home, and career, in Jesus name. You will end this year well, Amen!

On review today is a movie by the Mount Zion Film Productions. For those that do not know, Mount Zion is a Nigerian Christian movie production house. One of their latest movies titled My Dream is an hour-and-a-half-long re-enactment of the story of Joseph. Joseph is one of my favourite people from the bible. His story is very powerful. It shows the huge responsibility that we bear as Christians and the struggles and setbacks we encounter in our lives through our interactions with people and the world generally.

The movie had a modern-day twist to Joseph’s story which made some of the challenges Joseph faced much more relatable. The story was retold from the perspective of a polygamous home where the son of the second wife had prospects and higher chances at success than the son of the first wife. As expected, this brought about envy, strife, and chaos in the family. I will not spoil the movie for you, all you need to know is that it is a great watch.

Like other mount zion films, if you are familiar with any, My Dream is funny and easy to follow. And there are so many lessons to learn which makes it a good movie to watch with friends or family during this holiday season. The movie serves as a great reminder of God’s perfect timing and that God allows everything to happen for a reason. Enjoy!

God bless,

Dasola
