Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to December, once again. It’s not too early to wish ourselves a Merry Christmas, is it? 😊

In today’s meditation, the Holy Spirit is spurring us to take our stand as intercessors. As a child of God, you have been called to a ministry of interceding for others. This may include our family, friends, colleagues, classmates, etc. However, one area that we may be leaving at the back burner too often is praying for our pastors and spiritual leaders.

There is the notion that they are already sorted and do not need our prayers, but they do. In fact, prayer is one of the best gifts we can offer to God on their behalf. These people are mostly the enemies target because they are a threat to the devil and his cohort. When we pray for them, we are lifting their hands up. Remember Exodus 17:12, Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ arms when he was tired, while Joshua faced the Amalekite.

Recently a friend shared this video with me and one of the lessons that stood out for me was the need to constantly cover our spiritual leaders in prayer. Instead of publicly castigating them like we often see happen these days, pray for them. Ask God to make them shepherds after His own heart; Jeremiah 3:15. You can also pray Psalm 89: 20-25 over them.

I have found My servant David;
With My holy oil I have anointed him,
With whom My hand shall be established;
Also My arm shall strengthen him.
The enemy shall not outwit him,
Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
I will beat down his foes before his face,
And plague those who hate him.
“But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him,
And in My name his horn shall be exalted.
Also I will set his hand over the sea,
And his right hand over the rivers.

Your pastors cannot do the work of ministry alone. They can do with our prayers. May God help you and I to stay committed to interceding for them, Amen!

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
