Hello Amazing Reader,
How are you doing this new week? I pray God hears you in the day of trouble, and the name of the God of Jacob defends you (Psalm 20:1) throughout the new week in Jesus name.
Our meditation today is still on prayer, I believe God wants us to become more intentional with our prayer lives. At the beginning of the year, this was one of the areas I had asked God to help me with as I had been struggling with it. God led me to some resources, one of which is a message by Apostle Femi Lazarus. It was our last review post.
In addition to the tips shared in that message, something I am learning, is to pray about everything. Many times, we pray about the very big things — our families, jobs, finances, career, and so on, but choose to handle the ‘little’ things ourselves. It’s like splitting up the responsibilities between ourselves and God, we assign God the big tasks and take care of the small tasks. But God wants to handle everything for us —the big, small, and all else in between. We’re not going to overburden Him when we do so. Instead, we’re letting Him know that we trust and depend on Him for every aspect of our lives.
1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Never stop praying."
If you can talk to a friend about it, then you can talk to God about it. If it occupies your thoughts, you can mention it to the Father. And there is no time when you cannot do this. You can talk to God every time, whether you’re cooking, walking, driving… He’ll never say, ‘this is not a good time, call me back.’ He is a good Father who delights in hearing us and helping us always.
As you go on this new week, never stop praying!
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
