Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to the day (week) the Lord has made. We will surely rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus name.

What are your expectations for the new week?

I learnt from one of my pastors how to command things in my favour. After praying and declaring God’s blessings over the congregation, he would ask us to declare our expectations (for the new day, week month, year) by ourselves and he would also declare his. I’d hear him say weighty things and wonder how he was so bold about his declarations. For example, he would command the blessings of God from the four ends of the world to locate him. Initially, I thought that was a bit extreme. Why pray about the entire world, maybe my immediate locality was sufficient.

Mark 11:23 states, "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."

Can you imagine? That was me limiting God’s blessings without realizing it. On the other hand, this my pastor kept sharing wonderful testimonies of God’s acts in his life. I always wondered how he got things happening for him and then overtime, I realized his faith declarations played a part. He didn’t know how these things were going to happen, but he kept declaring anyway. He would say his was to declare in faith, while God’s duty was to perform.

His approach challenged me, and I asked God to help me get more daring with my declarations of faith. I have been amazed at His faithfulness in bringing His word to pass. This thing works!

Beginning this week, will you be bold enough to step up your declarations? I recommend that you kindly suspend your reasoning because it’ll keep trying to calculate how these things can come to pass. You just keep declaring in faith, and watch God bring it to pass.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
