Happy new March, once again. This month, the Mighty hand of God will advance you in Jesus name. 

Psalm 150:1-2 states,

Praise the Lord! 
Praise God in His sanctuary; 
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!  
Praise Him for His mighty acts; 
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 

As I read this Psalm in my personal devotion recently, the Holy Spirit highlighted the latter part of verse 2 to me – Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! I usually praise God for His mighty acts, but I hadn’t been conscious about praising Him according to His excellent greatness. 

God’s greatness is unmatched. See an example in Psalm 147:4-5, “He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.”  

Let’s attempt to unwrap this. According to The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), there are about one septillion stars in the Universe (i.e. one followed by 24 zeros- 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000). And yet God counts their number and calls them all by name? Mind you, this is just one example.

I left my time of devotion asking God to help me become more intentional about praising Him according to His excellent greatness. Would you like to do the same?
