Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to a beautiful, new week. A Happy Mother’s Day to the blessed women in our community as well. You’re probably wondering how many Mother’s Day celebrations there are in a calendar year😀.The United Kingdom usually celebrates theirs in March while North America marks theirs in May. I hope this provides some clarification. In my opinion though, mothers are worth celebrating every day 😉

Please follow me as we get on today’s meditation.

Have you prayed for your pastor recently? By pastor, I mean your spiritual leader. They may have a different title than ‘pastor’ in some cases.

Our spiritual leaders have a duty of tending the flock which God has placed in their care. Often times, they wear so many hats in the process of carrying out this major duty. They are marriage and career counselors, emergency contacts, prayer warriors, volunteers in several service units, and so on. The situation could differ, but mostly they are more to their members than only pastors.

As much as these men and women of God want to be there for others, they are first men and women who also have needs and would appreciate our prayers. It’s the best form of support you could give to them. They have desires and areas in which they need God’s intervention, although they may not openly share these.

In Ephesians 6, Paul concludes his letter to the church in Ephesus by encouraging them to stay in prayer, and also to pray for boldness for him to fearlessly proclaim the Gospel.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,  for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”

EphesiaNS 6:18-20

In case you’re not sure how to pray or for what to pray, you can begin praying this scripture for your spiritual leaders.

Dear God, I thank you for my spiritual leader(s) (*insert name(s)), I prayer that whenever they speak, words may be given to them so that (insert name) will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel…I pray that (insert name(s)) may declare it fearlessly as they should, in Jesus name, Amen!

Thank you for praying, and please don’t stop. Pray for them as often as you can!

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
